Laura is an award winning Visual Fine Art Artist who was born in Toronto. Laura was always involved in artistic pursuits that included opening a faux finishing (special effects) wall painting business. A health issue led her to the study of mixed media, acrylics and Chinese Brush Painting. Laura’s pieces are two-dimensional works where she’s created and married painting techniques to form thought-provoking art that promotes dialogue on cultural, social, and global issues.

Laura’s creations showed her love of Canadian landscape themes, real and imaginary. Her social-minded commentary was best served via mixed media, where she was able to promote thought-provoking art that continued dialogue on cultural, social, and global issues. Her works transcend cultures and are in permanent and private collections in China (the government of China, as well as in private collections), Africa (His Royal Highness Edward Wambuzi Colombus, Uganda) and throughout the US and Canada.

The Mississauga Arts Council awarded Laura the 2017 Marty’s winner for Established Visual Fine Art Artist.
